This particularly episode I will be drawing flowers. This is request coming from my niece. I will be taking inspiration from a drawing she made for me and you get to see how I over analyze the drawing of a six-year-old. I actually think I like her drawing better.
Please comment below if you have request on things you’d like to see me draw.
This particularly episode expands on the last one in regards to figure drawing. Last time we used various shapes to create building blocks but we didn’t really get into the proportions. This time I will discuss proportions to drawing a proper figure, then I will discuss drawing line of action to make the figures look more natural.
This is a figure drawing and shading exercise. I’m sketching the character Dhalsim, a slim fire spitter, which makes for a good model to show the skeletal structure and lighting. I drawing from a high angle for a particularly challenging perspective.
WELCOME to The Drawing Board! This is the first of what hopes to be a series of live art sessions. This will be experimental both in terms of art and technology. Bear with me in dealing with the technical difficulties.
In this first lesson we will talk about warm up exercises to loosen our hands and basic building blocks which we will use to form various objects. We will talk little bit about lighting and texture as well. Hopefully you will learn something useful. If not, tell me in the comments what you want to draw and I’ll see what I can do for you.
Some Finer Details: These sessions are born out of the cancellation of regular art classes I give at various senior facilities due to COVID-19. The nature of these sessions will differ somewhat to fit this online format. The in-person classes were personalized for each participants to provide one on one feedback on individual works. The online sessions will be more demonstrative and geared towards a general audience. Everyone is welcome to participate.
